Advanced Case Management and Development Program – Supporting Employment in Case Work

Co-designed and co-delivered this program, which was established as the industry standard in Ontario for case work practitioners in working with disadvantaged populations.

Territory of Nunavut, Department of Education

Co-negotiated the Canada-Nunavut Labour Market Development Agreement with the Government of Canada on behalf of the Inuit Territory. Created employment program guidelines, and trained career development staff in employment programs administration. Served as subject-matter experts in the creation of a unique database for program operations. Researched prior labour market program operations in the Northwest Territories and created participation guidelines for income support.

Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights

Served as Co-Director of Curriculum Development for the Law Enforcement Officer Programme on Combating Hate Crimes in the OSCE Region, working in concert with Cardinal Point Strategies, a leading US and international consulting firm on policing and security. Created the assessment process for community consultations on policing hate crimes. Co-facilitated the curriculum delivery as part of an international team of police education specialists and senior command officers from the USA, Canada and Europe. Engaged NGOs and senior police command officers in partnership building in European capitals, including Budapest, Madrid, Paris, Warsaw, Vienna, London, Kiev, and Zagreb.

Rutgers University Institute for Emergency Preparedness and Homeland Security/ Emergency Management

LMP worked with Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey, in concert with Cardinal Point Strategies, a leading US and international consulting firm on policing and security. Served as Director of Curriculum and Program Lead to design the curriculum for a community-police partnership initiative called Building Community Security and Resilience. This workshop involved faith-based organizations, police and NGOs in two communities in Brussels, Belgium, that were most affected by terrorist acts committed in this European capital.

Occupational Health and Safety

Conducted a detailed analysis and wrote a response to the Proposed Regulations on Fall Protection in the Construction Industry, U. S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration on behalf of a corporate leader in fall protection, Safe-T-Strap Inc.

Regional Assessment of Program Capacity and Efficacy

Worked with a large northern Ontario District Social Services Administration Board to conduct an in-depth review and analysis of the District’s employment programs and services to determine how to best deliver client-centred, cost-effective programs within an integrated employment system. The review made extensive recommendations concerning how the District may best fill its role within the evolving social and employment services system.
